We've been around awhile!

Apex Glass & Aluminum Products was founded in 1962 by Frank Pitrone Sr. He had formerly been employed at R.B. Wyatt, a custom shower door manufacturer in New York City. At the time there were few, if any, custom shower door retailers in Connecticut. His main goal was to service Fairfield County, but soon found that custom shower doors were hard to find in the surrounding areas as well. Frank was always looking to expand and before long he added patio doors and storm products to our line. Many of his clients asked him to include bathroom mirrors when he quoted his shower doors. No problem! Well, once he started with mirrors, the conversion to other glass services became a natural addition. By 1967 he was totally committed to becoming a full line glass shop. In 1971 we added Auto glass to complete the process. 

Where's the "FRANK" ?

In 1992, after 30 years, Frank decided to give the business to his son, Frank Jr. He is still presently residing in Newtown with his wife, Audrey, helping out with his grandchildren and staying active with some part time projects. We still rely on Frank for occasional advice and that contagious smile of his.
