Established in 1962

Apex Glass was founded in 1962 by Frank Pitrone Sr. He had formerly been employed at R.B. Wyatt, a custom shower door manufacturer in New York City. At the time there were few, if any, custom shower door retailers in Connecticut. His main goal was to service Fairfield County, but soon found that custom shower doors were hard to find in the surrounding areas as well. Frank was always looking to expand and before long he added patio doors and storm products to our line. Many of his clients asked him to include bathroom mirrors when he quoted his shower doors. No problem! Well, once he started with mirrors, the conversion to other glass services became a natural addition. By 1967 he was totally committed to becoming a full line glass shop.

In 1992, after 30 years, Frank decided to pass the business to his son, Frank Jr.  Since then Frank Jr has expanded Apex’s territory beyond Newtown/Sandy Hook and Brookfield, Bethel and Danbury to go as far as New York City and West Passaic New Jersey all the way to Cornwall and northern Massachusetts.  With a focus on frameless shower doors and a reputation for excellence, we’re an experienced team ready to meet all your glass and shower door needs.
